TD Bank ranked highest in small business banking in the South Region, according to the 2017 J.D. Power Small Business Banking Satisfaction StudySM. This is the first time TD Bank has won the award in the South.

TD Bank's overall small business customer satisfaction score for the South region, which covers 17 states from Delaware to Texas, was 819 for 2017, an increase of 20 points from last year. The J.D. Power study ranks 22 award-eligible banks in four regions in categories such as products, account management, fees, locations, credit services and more. According to J.D. Power's study, TD Bank placed highest among its peers in several satisfaction categories, including facilities, product offerings and channel activities, and scored highest in the account manager category.

"Small business owners in our communities have always been a priority for TD Bank. This year, we invested further in those communities by hiring 70 small business specialists to complement our successful store and relationship manager networks, and we introduced processes to make it easier for customers to access the products and services they need," said Jay DesMarteau,. "These enhancements resonated with customers, driving both satisfaction and account growth throughout the South."

J.D. Power's 2017 Small Business Satisfaction StudySM surveyed more than 8,300 small business owners or financial decision makers who use business banking services. TD Bank previously ranked no. 1 in J.D. Power's study in the Northeast in 2013 and 2015.

"TD Bank is on its way to becoming the best-known small business bank on the East Coast, and we appreciate the feedback provided by small business owners through the J.D. Power study and in our own interactions," said Chris Giamo, Head of Commercial Bank, TD Bank. "We strive to continue to become the small business bank of choice by putting our customers first."

"There are more than 376,000 small businesses in South Carolina, and TD Bank is committed to helping them grow and be successful," said David Lominack, South Carolina Market President, TD Bank. "Our investments in our account manager and loan processes resonated with business owners, who not only gave positive feedback in this study, but propelled us to the no. 1 SBA lender in the state."
