Top Workplaces Deadline Extended to Jan. 23

Jan 18, 2018 10:39AM ● By Emily Stevenson

The latest winter blast to hit South Carolina has provided a bonus: a few more days to nominate your company as one of the state’s premier places to work. We know work was interrupted in parts of the state this week, so we have given you a few more days to boast about your company.

You can now do so through Tuesday, Jan. 23. Integrated Media Publishing – publishers of Greenville Business Magazine, Charleston Business Magazine, and Columbia Business Monthly – is still on the lookout for terrific places to work in the state. Companies that make the Top Workplaces list based on the employee feedback will be featured in a special edition of our magazines.

Our third-party research partner in this project is Energage. Doug Claffey, CEO of Energage, says, “Our research shows organizations that earn the award attract better talent, experience lower turnover, and are better equipped to deliver bottom-line results. Their leaders prioritize and carefully craft a healthy workplace culture that supports employee engagement.”

The deadline to nominate a company for Top Workplaces is Jan. 23. Just go to www.topworkplaces.com/southcarolina. As long as you have 35 or more employees in the Palmetto State, you are eligible. Employers can be public, private, non-profit, schools or government institutions. For more information, you also can call (864) 501-9699.

Workplaces are evaluated by employees, who take a short, 24-question survey. Companies will be surveyed this month. Best of all, there is no cost to participate, no obligation to buy anything, and every surveyed organization will receive an overview of survey results for free.

Energage, formerly WorkplaceDynamics, is an Exton, Pa.-based research and consulting firm. It conducts Top Workplaces surveys for more than 40 major metro media partners nationwide. The company surveyed more than 2.5 million employees at nearly 7,000 organizations in 2017.
