Pope Flynn, a law firm concentrating on public finance, governmental law, and procurement and construction, is celebrating the tenth anniversary of its founding throughout the year with celebration events around South and North Carolina.

Founded in 2008 with a vision to represent the interests of public entities and institutions in the Carolinas, the firm has grown from its initial location in Columbia to three more locations in Charlotte, Charleston, and Spartanburg. The boutique law firm has also grown from three attorneys to eleven, all focused on serving cities and towns, counties, special purpose districts, school districts, state institutions, hospitals, colleges and universities, and other public entities, as well as private entities, including banks, underwriters, and nonprofit institutions.

"We have much to be thankful for," said Joe Lucas, managing partner of the firm. "We were founded in 2008, and we have thrived in the last decade. Over the years, we have seen fluctuating budgets, changing politics, difficult economic years, and much more. But we have enjoyed one constant - our clients - and serving them as they serve their constituents and stakeholders has been our primary focus.

"Because we have developed a deep knowledge within targeted practice areas, and because we serve our clients as a team rather than as individuals, we are able to offer imaginative solutions for the complex and difficult problems that often confront our clients. Over the years, we have had the unique privilege of helping to build the communities of South and North Carolina by developing and implementing creative and innovative means of financing critical infrastructure."
