Carolina Metal Finishing, a leader in powder coating and custom metal finishing, is expanding its existing operations in Lee County. The $1 million investment is projected to create approximately 20 new jobs.

An affiliate of Paramount Metal Finishing in Linden, N.J., Carolina Metal Finishing supplies contract services for metal parts cleaning, assembly, industrial painting, and powder coating. The company's Lee County facility has been in operation since 2006 and currently employs 24 associates.

Located at 547 South Main Street in Bishopville, S.C., Carolina Metal Finishing will be expanding its existing facility by 12,000 square feet, allowing for increased production capacity.

The Coordinating Council for Economic Development has approved a $50,000 Rural Infrastructure Fund grant to assist with the costs of site preparation and building construction.

"Carolina Metal Finishing is very excited to be expanding our manufacturing facility in the Bishopville, S.C. area," said Michael Fuschetti, president. "We appreciate the support from local and state agencies to get our facility operational as soon as possible. We look forward to expanding our operations and to having continued growth in the future."
