Cohn Construction Services is the chosen general contractor for the expansion of the ARAUCO plant in Bennettsville, S.C.

Cohn will build a 101,225-square-foot pre-engineered metal building, including a main warehouse component, a truck loading component, and a bridge connector to the existing building. The building includes a wet fire protection system. This new expansion will create more production space for ARAUCO and bring more job opportunities to Bennettsville. Construction will begin in August 2018.

In North America, ARAUCO produces many sustainable forest product solutions, including composite panels, premium plywood, millwork, lumber, and wood pulp. Wood used in the composite panels is recovered fiber obtained from post-industrial and post-consumer sources. Throughout North America, ARAUCO has four Regional Support Centers and nine composite panel mills that distribute products to more than 2,800 locations.
