Dickerson Children’s Advocacy Center Receives Donations From 100 Women Who Care

Nov 01, 2018 12:06PM ● By Kathleen Maris

The members of newly the newly-formed organization 100 Women Who Care - Midlands SC voted at their 3rd quarterly meeting to make a donation to the Dickerson Children’s Advocacy Center in the amount of $4,100. Members of 100 Women Who Care - Midlands SC presented their checks directly to the staff at the Dickerson Children’s Advocacy Center.

With close to 60 current members, 100 Women Who Care - Midlands SC, formed a chapter in the Midlands at the beginning of 2018. The members meet four times annually and vote to provide donations to one specific Midlands-based nonprofit at each meeting. Its members come from all walks of life and varying financial backgrounds with a simple desire to make an immediate, direct, and positive impact in our communities.

Members commit to giving one hour of their time each quarter to learn about local nonprofits that are nominated by members. Each member then agrees to support, financially, the local nonprofit selected among those nominated and voted on, writing their checks directly to the selected nonprofit each quarter. The combined giving of each members contribution makes a powerful impact locally. This quarter, 100 Women Who Care Midlands SC was excited to support the Dickerson Children’s Advocacy Center with its third donation of the year and looks forward to sharing its donations with another local nonprofit later this month.
