Bobbitt Design Build recently moved its South Carolina headquarters to 1927 Thurmond Mall Blvd., Suite #102, near downtown Columbia. Outgrowing its previous facility, Bobbitt required a larger space to fulfill the architectural design and construction needs of business and industry in the Midlands region.
Bobbitt first opened its doors in S.C. in May 2000, expanding beyond its legacy North Carolina operation that was founded in 1946. Over the years, the company’s impeccable reputation and employee dedication have created the momentum for the firm’s rapid growth in the South Carolina marketplace. The Bobbitt management made the decision last year to expand to a larger, better equipped, and more accessible location, welcoming new opportunities.
The new office is centrally located, providing easier access for both clients and subcontractors. The office is a contemporary space, creating a work environment well suited for collaboration among employees – an extremely important factor for a design-build firm with architects and contractors working closely together.
"The new location is a modern, well-designed space that showcases several different methods of commercial construction and finish products,” said Ben Wilson, Bobbitt's S.C. division president.
Bobbitt specializes in commercial architecture and construction services for a wide range of building types, including industrial and warehousing facilities, churches, municipal buildings and fire stations, educational facilities, and office complexes, among others.
