CBRE Awarded Leasing Of Two Industrial Spec Buildings

Feb 05, 2019 12:12PM ● By Kathleen Maris

After acquiring a 10-acre land site at Shop Grove Commerce Park in Columbia, S.C., North Carolina Warehousing, LLC has awarded CBRE the leasing of 45,000-square-foot and 70,000-square-foot speculative industrial buildings. Boyer Commercial Construction, Inc., will build both buildings with delivery scheduled for mid-2019.

CBRE’s Ben Brantley and Keith Moore are spearheading leasing efforts at the development.

“We’re very excited to market these new industrial properties for lease. With a lack of functional warehouse space in the market, we’re seeing high demand for state of the art buildings like this,” said Brantley, vice president at CBRE. “Located at 101 Sparkman Drive, the property is strategically located with close proximity to Interstates 77 and 26, providing convenient access to larger Southeast markets as well as two of the fastest growing ports in the country.”

According to CBRE’s 2019 Southeast U.S. Outlook Report, Columbia’s industrial market continues to exhibit solid signs of growth and development despite little to no new construction in recent years. An increase in the number of warehouse users as well as the introduction of several major manufacturers to the region have helped to diversify the market’s tenant base and should help spur future growth and economic expansion in the coming years.
