The Columbia Chamber announces the award recipients of the prestigious awards to be given at the 5th Annual Columbia Impact Awards. The 2019 Columbia Impact Awards, presented by Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd, P.A., will be held at the Columbia Marriott on February 20, 2019.

“The Columbia Impact Awards provides the Chamber with an occasion to recognize outstanding organizations and individuals who enhance and improve the communities in which we live and work,” said Carl Blackstone, Columbia Chamber president and CEO. “The efforts of many dedicated businesses and individuals continues to help the Columbia area move the needle in building a dynamic community for all.”

The Columbia Chamber will recognize the following:

The Cathy Novinger Trailblazer Award honors an individual who has shown exemplary leadership in his/her industry, advocates for business, and positively impacts our community. The 2019 recipient is Dr. Baron R. Davis, Richland County School District Two.

The Small Business of the Year recognizes a Chamber Partner who has shown great growth, significant achievements, or realized economic and cultural growth that benefits the business community. The 2019 recipient is Grace Outdoor Advertising.

The Partner of the Year is chosen from Chamber Partners who have received the Partner of the Month distinction during the previous year. The 2019 recipient is Richardson, Plowden & Robinson, P.A.

The Impact Award for Diversity & Inclusion celebrates a Partner that goes above and beyond to create a diverse work environment by breaking the glass ceiling. The 2019 recipient is Bank of America.

The Golden Nail Award is bestowed upon businesses or property owners for exemplary contributions to the physical character of the greater Midlands region through cosmetic or commercial means such as restoration of a façade, historic building, or re-purposing of a blighted space during the previous calendar year. 2019 recipients include: Experience Columbia SC; Halls Chophouse; Hotel Trundle; The Seibels Bruce Group, Inc.; and Theodore & Associates Insurance Agency.
