Dominion Energy To Hold Annual Meeting Of Shareholders In Columbia

Dominion Energy announced that its 2019 Annual Meeting of Shareholders will be held in Columbia. The meeting will be open to all Dominion Energy shareholders at the close of business on March 1, 2019, or their proxies.

Procedures for requesting a ticket to the annual meeting are outlined in the Proxy Statement that will be sent to shareholders around March 25. Interested media may request credentials to come to the meeting – which will be held at the University of South Carolina’s Alumni Center at 900 Senate Street in Columbia on May 7, 2019, at 9:30 a.m. – by calling Dominion Energy’s South Carolina media line at (800) 562-9308.

“Dominion Energy routinely holds its shareholder meetings in the places where we do business,” said Thomas F. Farrell, chairman, president, and chief executive officer. “Having this year’s meeting in Columbia, where we now serve electric and gas utility customers, allows us to interact with, listen to, and learn from our new shareholders in South Carolina and elsewhere.”

On Jan. 1, 2019, Dominion Energy combined with Cayce, S.C.-based SCANA Corporation. Cayce continues to serve as the headquarters of South Carolina Electric & Gas Company, which is expected to become Dominion Energy South Carolina, Inc., on April 15, 2019. When the companies completed the merger, SCANA shareholders received 0.6690 shares of Dominion Energy common stock in exchange for each share of SCANA common stock.

The company last held an annual meeting in Columbia on May 11, 2016, after acquiring Carolina Gas Transmission, a 1,500-mile interstate pipeline principally serving South Carolina, from SCANA in February 2015.
