Office of Business Opportunities Issues Call for Presenters For Small Business Week

The Office of Business Opportunities (OBO) has issued a Call for Presenters for the 7th Annual Small Business Week Conference to be held at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center on Friday, May 10, 2019, from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.

OBO uses several economic development tools to provide creative business opportunities to address many of the obstacles that face small businesses in the City of Columbia. OBO has three divisions that are designed to help meet the needs of small, minority, and women-owned businesses, in the City of Columbia: (1) Commercial Lending; (2) Technical Assistance, Education and Advocacy; and (3) Contractor and Supplier Diversity.

As part of OBO’s continuing efforts to promote the exchange of information and resources among small businesses, we sponsor the annual Small Business Week Conference, which is designed to recognize the successes of local small businesses and provide businesses with management tools to be successful and networking opportunities. The Conference includes keynote presentations, breakout sessions, networking, and exhibitors.

Call for Presenters: In crafting your presentation proposal, note that we are looking for presentations that will build the capacity of small, minority, and women-owned businesses.
