Mashburn Construction Completes New, Modern Hotel In Orangeburg

This month, a new, modern hotel in Orangeburg is accepting guests. Tru by Hilton Orangeburg is located at 739 Citadel Road, just off of I-26 and I-95. The brand offers “minimalist rooms, bright bathrooms, and hardwood-like floors”.

This is a brand new 44,116-square-foot, 4-story hotel with 93 rooms. The exterior finish of the hotel is dryvit exterior insulation finishing system or “EFIS” with specific colors designated for the “Tru by Hilton” brand.

The Tru by Hilton is equipped with a fitness center, a “game on” space with a pool table and Jenga, working pods, a lounge, future bar area for entertaining, and an exterior patio. This design was modeled with millennials in mind who prefer a more modern concept and public, collaborative work spaces with advanced technology. Craig Otto with Craig A. Otto Architect, Inc. was the architect in charge of design on this project.

Mashburn was awarded the project in 2018 and quickly began working on the newest hotel brand for Hilton. Mashburn coordinated with the owner and Hilton representatives to ensure the hotel was built to meet corporate standards. The completion of this project also brings 30 new jobs to Orangeburg.

Paul Mashburn, CEO of Mashburn Construction says, “We are excited to announce the completion of the Tru by Hilton Orangeburg. Our project team is growing our portfolio and knowledge of prominent hotel brands. We are continuously working to exceed their expectations to build thoughtfully and expeditiously for the best return on investment.”

In addition to the Hilton brand, Mashburn Construction Company continues to grow their expertise in various hotel brands of all shapes and sizes throughout South Carolina and North Carolina.
