Shuckin' Shack Oyster Bar CEO Jonathan Weathington has announced the brand's plans to open its first inland location in Columbia, with 3 locations planned for the city by the end of 2020.

Shuckin’ Shack was founded in 2007 by a pair of friends, over a few beers, who had a dream of bringing fresh oysters and seafood to Carolina Beach, N.C. After two years, spending their weekends with a case of beer and constructing their concept from the ground up, the first location opened and now is at 16 coastal locations. This year, the Shuckin’ Shack team decided it was time to move inland starting with Columbia because of its proximity to the coast and combination of single-family homes and young professionals.
