WHO: Lexington Mayor Steve MacDougall, Greater Lexington Chamber and Visitors Center President/CEO Otis Rawl, other local dignitaries, Lowes Foods’ President Tim Lowe and other officials from Lowes Foods

WHAT: Lowes Foods will begin construction on its first store in Lexington as part of an expansion into the Columbia market.

Note:  Lowes Foods also will make a special “surprise announcement” at the groundbreaking.

WHEN:  Wednesday, June 29 at 10:30 a.m.

WHERE: Lexington Technology Center on the campus of Lexington High School – directly across U.S. Route 1 from the construction site (intersection of U.S. Route 1 and Charter Oaks Road)
