Lifeproof iPhone Case
This is no ordinary case for your iPhone. It’s shock proof, water proof, snow proof and dirt proof. This case is like a force field for your iPhone. Videos on the website show an enclosed iPhone being doused with mayonnaise and mustard and then washed off with beer. In a display of the case’s ability to resist drops, we see the phone being dropped onto concrete from six feet at a variety of angles. We then see someone essentially bowling with the phone, rolling an iPhone down a blacktop road, all the while the video camera on the phone is running and recording the abuse to which the phone and the case are being subjected. Surely nobody really abuses their expensive smart phone in this way! Still if you do, it is nice to know that there is something that keeps the phone both usable and protected despite an unfriendly environment. The Lifeproof case, available in black, white, pink, and purple, fits snugly around the phone and adds amazingly little bulk. The charging port is protected with a snap door while the headphone jack has a screw on cover. If you really need the device to stay waterproof, a special headphone adapter screws into the case making the connection and keeping the seal tight. I’ve played around with three of these cases and have had friends insist on dropping their phones to the floor to show me just how amazing they are. It’s absolutely remarkable how durable these cases are without creating a phone that is too big to fit in your pocket. While the Lifeproof case may cost twice what any other smart phone case costs, it’s still only one-fifth the cost of replacing your phone.
