Teach for America South Carolina has tabbed a veteran business communicator to join its Regional Advisory Board. Kevin Floyd, director of marketing and communications at the Murphy & Grantland law firm, began his three-year term in August.

Floyd is a former TV news executive producer and has been handling public relations, communications and marketing for attorneys and clients across the Carolina’s since teaching first grade in Charlotte through TFA ten years ago.

“South Carolina has a serious teacher shortage and our poorest communities are hit hardest,” said Floyd. “I’m proud to help Teach for America in its mission to provide teachers where they are needed most. And, I’m thankful that Murphy & Grantland supports this kind of service to nonprofits.”

Teach For America is a national organization with more than 50 regions in the USA. Regional Advisory Boards advise, mentor and provide feedback to Regional Executive Directors and their teams in order to help regions reach their full potential and maximize impact.
