Columbia Chamber Announces Impact Award Winners
Feb 13, 2018 10:20AM ● By Kathleen MarisThe Columbia Chamber announced the recipients of six prestigious awards to be given at the 4th Annual Columbia Impact Awards, formerly known as Yellow Jasmine Awards. The 2018 Columbia Impact Awards, presented by Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd, P.A., will be held at the Capital City Club on February 22, 2018 at 11:30 a.m.
"Columbia continues to move forward through the efforts of many dedicated businesses and individuals,” said Carl Blackstone, Columbia Chamber president and CEO. “The Columbia Impact Awards are an opportunity for the Chamber to recognize these outstanding organizations and individuals who enhance and improve the communities in which we live and work.”
The Columbia Chamber will recognize the following:
Cathy Novinger Trailblazer Award - Frank Cason, Cason Development Group
The Cathy Novinger Trailblazer Award honors an individual who has shown exemplary leadership in his/her industry, moves the needle for business, and positively impacts the community.
Impact Award for Innovation - Scott Garvin, Garvin Design Group
The Impact Award for Innovation is awarded to an individual or company whose innovative ideas, work, or business acumen have greatly affected the Midlands in a positive way. This award is unique in its purpose of recognizing those who are constantly challenging and changing the status quo.
Impact Award for Small Business - COLAToday
The Impact Award for Small Business recognizes a Chamber Partner who has shown great growth, significant achievements, or realized economic and cultural growth that benefits the business community.
Partner of the Year - Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers
The Partner of the Year is chosen from Chamber Partners who have received the Partner of the Month distinction during the previous year.
Impact Award for Diversity & Inclusion - Colonial Life
The Impact Award for Diversity & Inclusion celebrates a Partner that goes above and beyond to create a diverse work environment by breaking the glass ceiling.
Golden Nail Awards - The Grand on Main, The Shiver Group, The Boudreaux Group, and Cohn Construction Services
The inaugural Golden Nail Award is bestowed upon a business or property owner for exemplary contributions to the physical character of the greater Midlands region through cosmetic or commercial means such as restoration of a façade, historic building, or re-purposing of a blighted space during the previous calendar year.
