Heroes in Blue Names Founder as CEO

Heroes In Blue is a nonprofit 501c3 organization committed to promoting police and community relationships through empathy and action and also providing support to families of officers who were killed in the line of duty.
Heroes In Blue founder Kassy Alia has been named CEO. Alia founded Heroes In Blue after her husband, Greg Alia, was killed in the line of duty on September 30, 2015 while responding to a call in Forest Acres.
The 2018 Board of Directors feature four new members, including Chief Kevin Cornett from the Springdale Police Department, Executive Director Angela McDuffie of the Midlands Fatherhood Coalition, John Stackhouse of the Modern Family Asset Management, and Deputy Chief Melron Kelly from the Columbia Police Department. These four new additions bring the Board of Directors to a total of 10 members.
“Over the past two years, Heroes In Blue has been changing the conversation between cops and community,” said Alia. “We are so proud to welcome our new board members who reflect our commitment to community and our vision for bridging the gap between police and the communities they serve.”
