Apple Inc. said it would close nearly a dozen stores, including one in Greenville, across four states where cases of the coronavirus have climbed, multiple media outlets reported Friday, June 19, 2020.

The company said it would close two stores near Naples, Fla; two near Charlotte, N.C.; one in Greenville, S.C.; and six across Arizona, the Wall Street Journal reported.

The Apple Haywood Mall store in Greenville is temporarily closed, according to the company's website. An automated telephone message Saturday June 20, 2020, said the store is closed until further notice and employees "look forward to reopening soon."

Apple has 271 U.S. stores, and the action marks a reversal after reopening many of its U.S. stores for limited operation last month, the newspaper reported.
