South Carolina Realtors Installs 2021 Leaders
Jan 04, 2021 12:02PM ● By David DykesMorris Lyles was installed as 2021 president of South Carolina REALTORS (SCR) along with new members of the association’s leadership team during a virtual ceremony at the SCR office in Columbia on Dec. 15, 2020. They were installed by 2020 SCR President Owen Tyler. Their terms began Jan. 1, 2021.
Lyles was SCR's 2020 president-elect and 2019 treasurer. He has been a Realtor since 1996, and is currently with ERA Wilder Realty, in Columbia.
ERA Wilder Realty is a locally owned real estate brand that operates with more than 400 agents in the Midlands and Charleston areas of South Carolina.
Lyles holds the Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) certification from the National Association of Realtors (NAR) and has served in many roles at SCR including treasurer in 2019, president-elect in 2020, as a South Carolina Realtor Political Action Committee (RPAC) trustee chair in 2017 and as member services chair of the executive committee in 2016.
Lyles served on the board of the Central Carolina Realtors Association (CCRA) in Columbia and was its 2015 president. He was also named as the board’s 2016 Realtor of the Year.
In addition to his real estate roles, Lyles is active in his community and has served as a past president of the Columbia Kiwanis Club in 2008, president of the Columbia Museum of Art Contemporaries in 2004, and is a 2001 graduate of Leadership Columbia. He has also served as a chairman of the board at Trinity Cathedral’s Learning Center in Columbia.
Cindy Creamer is the 2021 SCR president-elect. Creamer has been a Realtor since 2006 with Dunes Real Estate in Hilton Head. She holds Realtor designations as an Accredited Buyers Representative (ABR), Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource (SFR) and Certified Negotiation Expert (CFN). She is currently a 2020 RPAC participation council member and president’s circle member.
She served two terms on the SCR executive committee as the regional vice president for 2016 and 2017 and was also president of the Hilton Head Area Association of Realtors (HHAOR) in 2015 and 2018. She was elected in 2010 to serve on its board of directors.
Creamer was a recipient of the President’s Service Award for 2014. She has also been a recipient of the Realtor Service Award since 2010.
Creamer serves her local community in various roles. From 2016-2019 she was appointed to the Hilton Head Town Venue Committee as the chairman. She also serves on the board of directors of the Hospice Care of the Lowcountry.
Rob Woodul is the association’s 2021 treasurer. Woodul is a Louisiana native. As broker-in-charge of Carolina One Real Estate’s Charleston Central office, he has been a voice for SCR members in the public and legislative arenas.
He has served as a volunteer leader with local and state Realtor associations for more than 20 years, including SCR secretary in 2020, as president of the Charleston Trident Association of Realtors (CTAR) in 2011 and the CHS Regional MLS in 2015.
In those leadership positions, he was quoted as a Charleston real estate market expert in the Washington Post and New York Times.
Reah Smith is SCR’s 2021 secretary. Smith has been a Realtor since 2010 and a Resort and Second Home Property Specialist (RSPS) at Lake Keowee Real Estate since 2013.
Born and raised in Seneca, Smith attended Seneca High School and went on to study at the University of South Carolina and graduate in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in retail. She has served in many different roles at her local, state and national associations of Realtors.
At the Western Upstate Association of Realtors (WUAR) she served as state director, as a member of the board of directors and on the RPAC committee.
At SCR, she has served on the legislative committee and was chair of that committee in 2019. She has also served on the board of directors, executive committee, diversity equity and inclusion task force, candidate screening committee, South Carolina Community Alliance, and is a RPAC trustee.
In addition, she is a 2016 graduate of SCR’s prestigious leadership program, LeadershipSCR.
At the National Association of Realtors, Smith is a member of the public policy coordinating committee along with the resort and second home committee, the single-family investment management committee and the sustainability advisory group.
Owen Tyler is SCR’s immediate past president. Tyler is a graduate of Clemson University with a background in accounting. He previously was a general real estate broker before taking on a new role as managing broker and broker-in-charge at the Charleston boutique real estate company, The Cassina Group. He has been in real estate since 2001.
Tyler has served on local, state, and national board of directors and in leadership positions for South Carolina REALTORS, Charleston Trident Association of Realtors, National Association of Realtors (CTAR), Charleston Regional Development Alliance, The Children’s Trust of South Carolina and One80 Place.
