Integrity Staffing Expects Q4 Growth in Key Manufacturing, Industrial Sectors

Integrity Staffing Solutions, a leading provider of workforce solutions, said it anticipates significant growth in the light industrial, e-commerce, call center, and food and beverage production and packaging sectors for Q4 2024.

It said that according to recent forecasts, the global e-commerce sector is projected to see a 9.4 percent increase in sales during 2024.

Officials said the growth is driven by sustained consumer preferences for online shopping and the anticipated surge in demand during the holiday season.

As a result, Integrity Staffing foresees a 30-50 percent increase in seasonal workforces to support Q4 order volumes.

"Talent competition will be fierce this holiday season. To meet seasonal hiring demands, businesses should make Q4 labor planning decisions now," said Todd Bavol, CEO of Integrity Staffing Solutions.

Officials said the current labor market presents a mix of challenges and opportunities.

With fluctuating unemployment rates and varying labor availability across regions, businesses face unique recruitment and retention challenges, the officials said.

They added high-volume staffing involves overcoming hurdles such as recruitment, retention, and efficient workforce management.

In May, the latest month for which figures were available, South Carolina’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate increased to 3.4 percent from 3.2 percent in April and 2.9 percent in May 2023, according to the  SC Department of Employment and Workforce.

Liberty Fellowship Names Tycely Williams as New CEO

Liberty Fellowship, the South Carolina-based leadership program, announced July 15 it has named Tycely Williams as its new CEO.

Williams comes to the fellowship from the Bipartisan Policy Center in Washington, D.C., where she served as chief development officer, crafting strategies to promote health, security, and opportunity for all Americans.

She replaces Ann Marie Stieritz, who announced earlier this year that she would be stepping down from her role at Liberty Fellowship.

Williams begins her role July 22, as the organization celebrates its 20th year.

A Charleston resident, Williams has worked as chief development officer for America’s Promise Alliance and as chief development officer for the American Red Cross National Capital Region.

She chairs the governing boards of the Nonprofit Alliance Foundation and the YWCA National Capital Area.

“Tycely is a national award-winning consensus builder who shares our passion for South Carolina and for bringing together different leadership perspectives in dialogue and action,” said Kerri Forrest, vice chair of the Liberty Fellowship board of directors. “We are thrilled to welcome her to Liberty Fellowship.”

Liberty Fellowship, which is affiliated with the Aspen Institute, works to activate individual leaders through a deeper understanding of a just, free and equitable society; serves as a convener for bringing together diverse perspectives to advance civil discourse; and provides infrastructure for taking action.

Lowcountry Oncology Associates Partners with OneOncology

Lowcountry Oncology Associates is partnering with OneOncology, the fast-growing national platform for independent oncology practices, to enhance the delivery of cancer services in and around Charleston, South Carolina, the two organizations announced.

Lowcountry Oncology Associates' six medical oncologists will treat patients at four new clinics in North Charleston, West Ashley, Mt. Pleasant, and Summerville beginning in October.

The practice, which now offers patients medical oncology and hematology care, will add services along the cancer care continuum including in-office drug dispensing, lab services, and medical imaging.

Lowcountry Oncology Associates, whose providers have been serving cancer patients in Charleston since 2001, is the third South Carolina oncology practice and 24th nationally to join the OneOncology platform.

Anderson Area Cancer Care in Upstate South Carolina recently joined OneOncology, and Coastal Cancer Care in Myrtle Beach joined the platform last year.

Officials said the practice will continue its relationship with community health systems and physicians across the Lowcountry, as the practice plans to grow by adding physicians, cancer care clinics, and additional services along the cancer care continuum.

OneOncology supports community oncology practices through group purchasing, operational optimization, data analytics, practice growth, and clinical innovation.
