To me, leadership is the sacred intersection of service and remaining a lifelong student. It requires moving in love while upholding firm boundaries and possessing the quiet strength to stand alone for what is right. True leaders lead with a heart for people, a mind open to growth, and the unwavering courage to protect their principles, even when the path is solitary.
My grandmother, my angel, mentored me to lead through service and remain a lifelong student. She taught me to move in love, set firm boundaries, and stand alone for what is right. I’ve adopted these teachings in my nonprofit work with children and in raising my two young sons. Her legacy lives on through the grace and integrity I strive to model for the next generation, both at home and in my community.
