A co-founder of Palmetto Accident Law, Sydney Lynn brings substantial litigation and trial experience and a servant's heart to her practice, focusing on personal injury and workers' compensation cases. As the immediate past president of South Carolina Association for Justice, she has led the state's foremost organization advocating for victims' rights while continuing to fight for injured South Carolinians in and out of the courtroom.
I define leadership as creating clarity, stability, and forward momentum for others, especially in uncertainty. It's not about titles, but responsibility, making principled decisions and setting a steady tone. Leadership also means building trust through consistency, honesty, and direct communication, even when conversations are difficult. At its core, leadership is service: using your position and voice to support others and create success that extends beyond yourself.
My greatest strength is clarity -- cutting through complexity, making sound decisions, and communicating them in a way that builds trust and forward movement. I stay steady under pressure and lead with both conviction and respect. What I'm still working on is creating more space for others in the process -- delegating earlier and inviting input sooner -- so I'm not just driving outcomes, but developing strong, confident people alongside me.
My greatest fear is losing alignment with my values -- making decisions that prioritize comfort over conviction. I manage that by staying grounded in what I know to be true, even when it's difficult. Fear doesn't go away, but I've learned to treat it as information, not direction. By focusing on preparation, perspective, and purpose, I'm able to move forward with clarity rather than hesitation.
I've learned to trust my instincts -- and act on them. Early on, I sometimes second-guessed myself or looked for external validation, but experience has shown me that clarity often comes from within. When something feels off or right, there's usually a reason. Acting with conviction, even when it's uncomfortable, has allowed me to make better decisions, navigate challenges more effectively, and stay aligned with who I am.
