Ever since I was a child, I have always valued creativity, connection, and service. At Erskine College, I further discovered my passion for leadership and building relationships while leading campus organizations, earning a dual degree and minor, and receiving several recognitions along the way. Today, I am fortunate to have built a career that combines these passions. I enjoy solving problems, improving processes, and bringing people together to achieve shared goals. I believe meaningful leadership happens through listening, open communication, and supporting others wherever needed. Outside of work, I enjoy giving back to my community by co-leading a book club and volunteering with Junior League of Columbia. In my free time, I value my time with family, friends, and pets, painting, or getting lost in a good book. These activities keep me grounded, fuel my creativity, and remind me of the importance of building meaningful relationships both professionally and personally.
Favorite Quote and Why: “Devote yourself to loving others, devote yourself to your community around you, and devote yourself to creating something that gives you purpose and meaning.” — "Tuesdays with Morrie" by Mitch Albom. I first read "Tuesdays with Morrie" in high school, and I've returned to it several times over the years. I was fortunate to have my own “Morrie” — a mentor I visited every Wednesday afternoon for nearly a decade — who encouraged me to always put my best foot forward, lead with honesty, and never forget that a bit of kindness goes a long way. This quote has always been a favorite of mine because it reminds me of the lasting influence she had on my life: the importance of caring for others, finding purpose in what you do, and remembering to enjoy the journey and have a little fun along the way. Though she’s no longer with us, the lessons Mrs. Perry Anne taught me continue to guide me and shape the way I lead, support others, and approach each day.
Definition of a Successful Leader: I believe great leadership is built on service, trust, and a genuine commitment to helping others succeed.
Advice to 18-Year-Old Self: Work hard, do your best, and never stop learning.
