Weston Inc. has broken ground on Carolina Pines Logistics Center, a ±252,720-square-foot building located in the Carolina Pines Industrial Park in Blythewood.

The building will deliver in June 2027 and feature 20 dock-high doors, 44 trailer spaces, 54’ by 50’ column spacing with a 60’ speed bay, 36’ clear heights, and ESFR fire protection. This is Weston’s first speculative industrial development in the Columbia market. Additional land adjacent to the site can accommodate users requiring up to 1 million square feet of build-to-suit industrial space. In addition to this new development, Weston owns over 40 industrial buildings totaling over 7 million square feet in South Carolina.

“We are excited to have broken ground on a state-of-the-art facility that reflects our partnership’s commitment to South Carolina, our customers, and the next generation of industrial development,” said TJ Asher, president, Acquisitions & Development at Weston.

“We're grateful for the opportunity to work with Weston on its South Carolina portfolio and new development projects, and the company’s track record speaks for itself. It's exciting to see Weston expand its presence in the Columbia market with a project of this caliber. With the ongoing growth in Blythewood, particularly around the Scout Motors investment, Carolina Pines Logistics Center provides companies with an opportunity to establish a presence in one of the region's fastest-growing industrial corridors while benefiting from the park's established infrastructure and tenant base,” said Chuck Salley, managing director | Industrial Services in Colliers’ Columbia office.

Carolina Pines Logistics Center offers exceptional access to central South Carolina’s growing industrial corridor. The property is approximately one mile from I-77 and three miles from Scout Motors’ ±1,600-acre manufacturing campus. Other users within Carolina Pines Industrial Park include Amazon, Xerxes, Constantia Flexibles, Charter Next Generation, Husqvarna, Owens Corning, Schneider Electric, Amcor, and Iron Mountain.
