Scott and Company Promotes Hawkins to Director

Scott and Company LLC has announced the promotion of Amanda Hawkins, CPA to director. Hawkins joined the Scott and Company LLC team in 2016 as an auditor in the firm’s assurance and advisory practice.

“From the day she joined our team, Amanda has gone above and beyond to exceed the expectations of clients and coworkers alike,” said John M. Price, Jr. CPA, managing member. “She is a skilled professional with a strong work ethic. We are excited to watch her continue to grow as a member of our team.” 

In assuming her new duties as director, Hawkins will be responsible for leading all aspects of audit, attestation and consulting engagements, training and developing associates, and managing client relations through timely communication and ensuring stated engagement objectives are met. In addition to these core day-to-day tasks, Hawkins will be responsible for developing and expanding client relationships and fostering non-client relationships to assist in achieving the firm's long-term business goals.

Hawkins provides assurance and advisory services for clients in a variety of industries including those in auto dealerships, employee benefit plans, services industries, utilities, nonprofits, and state and local government. She also works with a broad range of closely-held businesses. 

Hawkins graduated from the University of South Carolina’s Moore School of Business, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. She is licensed to practice as a certified public accountant in the State of South Carolina and is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants.
