The McKay Firm announced the addition of Chris Siercks as an associate attorney. Siercks will practice in the areas of Section 1983 defense and general civil defense litigation, representing businesses and individuals throughout all stages of the litigation process.

Siercks brings experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants in civil matters. Before joining the McKay Firm, he practiced at a regional civil defense firm, representing businesses and individuals in civil litigation. He later joined a plaintiffs’ firm, where he represented individuals in personal injury matters.

His experience on both sides of civil litigation provides insight into the perspectives and strategies of opposing parties and counsel.

“We are excited to welcome Chris to the McKay Firm,” stated McKay Firm Senior Partner, Julius W. “Jay” McKay II. “His experience on both sides of civil litigation gives him a valuable perspective that will serve our clients well. Chris brings a strong foundation in civil defense and a commitment to providing thoughtful, effective representation, and we look forward to having him as part of our team.”

Siercks earned his law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2020. Following law school, he served as a judicial law clerk for The Honorable Walton J. McLeod IV. Before attending law school, Siercks served in the United States Marine Corps from 2012 to 2017, attaining the rank of sergeant. He is a member of the South Carolina Bar and the Richland County Bar Association.
