Boeing tops list of Forbes Best Employer list for South Carolina: The Chicago-based aerospace giant Boeing was the No. 1 company "liked best by employees" in Forbes magazine's inaugural best employers by state contest. Bosch, Chick-fil-A, Costco, and MUSC Health rounded out the Palmetto State Top 5.MUSC Health was one of the few South Carolina-headquatered organizations on the list of 49 companies. Several firms were hospital systems, including Prisma Health (Greenville, No. 6), Roper St. Francis (Charleston, No. 7), Tidelands Health (Murrell's Inlet, No. 14), AnMed (Anderson, No. 39), McCleod Health (Florence, No. 45), and Self Regional (Greenwood, No. 48).State educational entities were also well represented, including Midland Tech (West Columbia, No. 17), University of South Carolina (Columbia, No. 19), Greenville County Schools (Greenville, No. 44), and Coastal Carolina University (Conway, No. 49).Other Palmetto State-based notables: Continental (Fort Mill, No. 16), Sonoco (Hartsville, No. 20), and Denny's (Spartanburg, No. 43)Forbes partnered with the market research company Statista to make the list.
