Georgia Mjartan

Georgia Mjartan is president and CEO of Central Carolina Community Foundation, partnering with donors to support nonprofits, equip students, and inspire giving across the Midlands. With more than $275 million in assets, Central Carolina Community Foundation awarded a record-breaking $27.8 million in grants to nonprofits during Mjartan's first year leading the organization. Mjartan was named a “Southerner of the Year” by Southern Living and was awarded an Aspen Institute Ascend Fellowship. Prior to joining the foundation, Mjartan was state director for South Carolina First Steps, the state’s early childhood agency, where she led the statewide expansion of PreK, more than doubled the reach of the organization, and created a first-in-the-nation technology solution which transforms the way families access and apply for public programs.
