Jonathan W. Yarborough

Jonathan W. Yarborough is the director of Government Affairs and Economic Development for Dominion Energy South Carolina. Yarborough works directly with the South Carolina General Assembly, the Governor’s Office, and key state agencies. He helped create the Energy Security Act of 2025 by providing education and detailed testimony for the General Assembly. Before joining Dominion Energy in 2015, Yarborough worked in legislative and intergovernmental affairs for the S.C. Department of Commerce and the S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control. He was also a congressional liaison for the U.S. Department of Agriculture and a senior advisor to the assistant secretary for Fossil Energy at the Department of Energy in Washington, D.C. After serving in the U.S. Army, Yarborough graduated from Clemson University and the University of South Carolina School of Law. He has served on various boards including the S.C. Manufacturing Alliance and Southern Carolina Economic Development Alliance.
